Our Bodies and Where to Direct External Weight?

I've been researching the human body, and how weight can effect different parts of our muscles, skeleton, and organs. For example, in the last post about 'How are Heavy Backpacks Effecting Youth Development?' I quoted an article that explained how weight on a child's shoulders can push down on their bodies and effect their developing lungs (refer to image below).
